Wednesday Winners – Boston’s BOKX Pool Giveaway

July 20th, 2011

You want to be here (see above).

To celebrate the fantastic news of Boston’s first heat wave (oh joy), I’m giving away two pool passes to there (see above)…Newton’s Hotel Indigo’s BOKX Pool.

Normally just for guests, they’ve decided to let the public in on this incredible summer getaway. And I have two day passes for you (valued at $40), so you can lounge poolside in luxury.

Featuring an outdoor bar and oversized couches, the BOKX Pool Deck is a perfect summer escape from the city heat and the ultimate location for dining al fresco. Lunch and dinner are available poolside and private cabanas for a fee.

You know, for a busy career mom, I seem to give away a lot of lounge opportunities. So let’s get to it, shall we…

The Rules

Initial Entry: Leave a comment about your favorite poolside or oceanside spot this summer. In other words, where will you be during these four straight days of over-90 weather?

Bonus Entry: Like EasyPeasyBlog on Facebook by clicking here. If you’re already a fan, post something in your status about the giveaway with a link.

Bonus Entry: Follow EasyPeasyBlog on Twitter @cherylfenton. If you already follow, tweet about the contest.

Passes allow entrance to the pool Monday – Friday, 10am to 8pm, through Labor Day. Giveaway ends 11:59pm on July 30, 2011.

During these hot days when I’m not at work I have been taking my kids to a beach in Gloucester called Wingarsheek Beach. It is absolutely beautiful with mile long beaches and sand dunes. The water is clear and warm and so refreshing. However, I would love to have a “me” beach day and am a huge fan of the Bokx resteraunt since visiting over the fall. The poolside cabanas and ambiance makes you feel as if you are far away on a secluded island. I would love to grab my girlfriends and take a lil road trip and enjoy a beautiful day on “vacation”.

The past few days I’ve been rushing out of my unairconditioned apt to get to the AC at the office. I’d much rather play hooky though and cool off poolside with a tropical drink and stack of magazines — this place looks heavenly in the heat!

  5. My favorite place to beat the heat is on the ocean side of the Cape. You can’t be hot in that 50 degree water!

  6. I am now following you on Twitter as @renh77!

This giveaway couldn’t come at a better time. I will be spending the heat wave visiting NYC which is even hotter than Boston! Scorcher. If I had my way I’d be ocean side in Newport instead…or at Indigo’s pool!

    Tweeted too, thanks!

I’m going to try and hit up Nahant’s Short Beach or maybe Devereaux in Marblehead – I can bring the doggie’s to the beach across the street! Hopefully my dogs and I can cool off for a few minutes this weekend :-)

My favorite oceanside spot this weekend is Peak’s Island, a 15 minute ferry ride from Portland harbor in Maine! On Sunday I’ll be listening to live tunes at Reggae Sundays at Jones Landing, a place where you can eat, drink, and relax right on the ocean. I highly recommend it if you’re spending a summer weekend in the Portland area!

I love Ogunquit Beach! The water is freezing but the views and the sand are amazing! Great giveaway! I will tweet as well!

  12. Meghan says:

I live on the North Shore so I’m lucky to be surrounded by a ton of beautiful beaches, especially during this past weekend’s insane heat! My favorites are Crane Beach in Ipswich and Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. A poolside retreat would be a lovely change of pace, however! Thanks for the giveaway!

  13. My favorite place to cool off in the summer is Mayflower Beach down the Cape. The water is always warm and I adore the sandbars. A great pool ain’t bad either!

  14. Cristy says:

I LOVE Crane Beach in Ipswich. It’s gorgeous, pristine, and simply makes you want to exhale – all within a few minutes of arriving! Other Cape Ann beaches are great too, but this one is not to miss!

  15. Christina says:

I love going to Newport, RI. It’s gorgeous and I can hang out on the beach all day!

  16. Chritine says:

I love hanging out at our private beach in West Yarmouth on Cape Cod. Nothing more relaxing than listening to the light sound of the waves
