I got my first bee sting a few years ago. That was pleasant. My face was slightly scrunched, as I calmly said, “I’m OK. No big deal.” My inner voice was screaming, “Dear Lord, sweet Jesus, when is the pain going to stop oh Mother Mary, when???!!”
Then I had my child a year later and I said the same things during delivery. That’s neither here. Nor there.
My MIL just sent me a very cool piece of info. Not sure how Urban Legend-y the USPS part is but…The U.S. Postal service sent out a message to all letter carriers to put a sheet of Bounce in their uniform pockets to keep yellow-jackets away.
Apparently, the summer breeze smell of the Bounce really isn’t what insects have in mind because pop one of these sheets through a belt loop and bees and mosquitoes veer around you.
