I was NOT…repeat…NOT sexy over the past few weeks. We’re doing reno on our house, so if there isn’t spackle in my hair, it’s not a typical day.
That being said, once I’m showered and ready for Date Night (every Wednesday, come hell, high water or water damage under our tub)…looking sexy takes about three seconds. It can be effortless. If you know how to work it, girl.
Here are a few quick ways to look sexy in a second…
Undo a Button – Simple. Loosen up a button-down just enough to reveal your collarbone. Keep the girls under wraps though or simple becomes slutty. Just sayin’.
Wear Red – This wasn’t known as the color of the “ladies of the night” accidentally. It’s a bold, look-at-me shade, so get ready to stop traffic. But relax. A pop of red is better than head to toe. Shoes are a good way to start. Heels, if you please.
Grab a Pencil – Get ready to take some notes. Pencil skirts are über-feminine, but in a tough gal sort of way. Why do you think those sexy secretaries always wear them?
Show Some Leg – Obvious. Duh. But there are rules. If your bottom half is showy, keep your top half flowy. Whether it’s short shorts or a tiny skirt, keep your top covered with higher basic collar (no plunging necklines) or even long sleeves. Wear wedges not heels.
Sparkle Some – I said sparkle, not spackle. If spackle was sexy, I would be the hottest thing since This Old House. Shimmer with small hits of sequins or shining beads—a little dose of sparkle is an easy way to draw some eyes.
Bare Shoulders – This summer, shapely shoulders beg to be shown off. Try the romance of an asymmetrical blouses or bare both sides in a sexy off-the-shoulder look.
Purr-fect - Animal prints are for when you’re on the prowl. But one item at a time, please. Wear a leopard-spotted shoe with a loose-fitting dress for an unexpectedly sexy look. Nervous? Here are a few tips on how to wear this touchable trend.
Motorcycle Mama – Whether it’s a streamlined tailored look or a motorcycle jacket, this always looks sassy when paired leg-baring separates, especially over a summer dress.
