I’ll be sparkling this Sunday. Care to join me?
Nope, not bedazzling things. Although if it doesn’t stop raining soon, I’ll start that god-forsaken activity just for something to do.
I’m lucky enough to be walking the cat walk (along with other media mavens) in “Sparkle IV”—an afternoon of food, fashion and fun to benefit Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women.
The event will bring together lovely ladies from around Greater Boston and beyond to sip cocktails, enjoy light fare and view the latest fashions during an afternoon charity fashion show held at the Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro on May 29 from 3:30pm – 5pm.
My partners in fashion (no crimes here)—Lisa Pierpont, founder and editor of Boldfacers.com; Erica Corsano, of Gilt City Boston; Jenny Johnson, co-star and executive producer of NECN’s “TV Diner”; Megan Johnson, writer for The Boston Herald’s “Inside Track”; Erin Souza, writer for BizBash Media and STUFF magazine; Sue Brady, on-air talent for Mix 104.1FM; Liz Meagher, segment producer of Fox25 Morning News; Kelly Malone, host of “What’s in Store” on WBZ-TV and TV 38; and Sarah McManus, personal stylist and blogger (and guest blogger for us!).
We’ll be strutting our stuff in clothing and accessories to fawn over—items from Wish, M. Flynn, Moxie, Beauty Mark, Crush Boutique, Uncle Pete’s, The Ruby Door, Twilight, Savas Studios, Ku De Ta, Flock, Sara Campbell, Dress and others. My two outfits are from Holiday Boutique in Beacon Hill. One short. One long. Both gorgeous. I’ll likely be going home with one of them. Your guess is to which one, although I’m partial to this one.
Much cheaper than the price of the dress, the $25 admission includes your seat, hors d’oeuvres, a glass of champagne, a gift bag (rumor has it there’s a Gilt gift card in there), and a discount at all the local vendors.
Why not come down for some amazing fashion to benefit some amazing women?
